What is this and how does it work?
The Hololens 2 is a mixed reality headset that combines the real world with digital content to create an immersive exhibition experience. It uses cameras, sensors, and holographic displays to project digital images onto the user’s field of view.
What is Included in the experience?
The headset can display a wide range of digital content, including 3D models, animations, and videos. We have designed this virtual experience to include information about the exhibition, Golden Buzzer content from the gallery selectors, and augmented versions of several installations.
Mixed Reality (AR) can enhance accessibility in a number of ways. One way is by providing additional information and context to the user. For example, in an art exhibition, AR can be used to provide visitors with information about the artist and the meaning behind the artwork, which can be particularly useful for visitors with visual impairments who may have difficulty interpreting the artwork on their own.
